The Black is for those of you with a penchant for adventure; it’s for those travellers who want to go places that you can’t get to in a Toyota Tarago! The Black will show you Australia – not just the highway. Return home with stories of places that you mates couldn’t get to with a little white van.

The Grizzly
The Bear
Built on a 2008 to 2015 Land Rover Defender Puma it’s the deluxe expedition vehicle with air conditioning in the drivers cabin & power windows. It’ll get roughly 12L/100KM on diesel fuel with a 6 speed manual transmission. Easy and simple set up in a matter of minutes giving you maximum time to enjoy your hard earned holiday!
Sleeps: Two in a pop top roof tent (±150cm x 200cm) that allows internal vehicle set up and access. All bedding, towels and pillows supplied. Two clips and a gentle push and your bed is ready for the night!
Seats: Two
Living: Side awning, table & chairs, 12 volt dual battery system with charging points. 60L water tank (food grade) with filler hose and attachments
Kitchen: Slide out kitchen with two burner stove & 55L fridge and a deluxe built in pantry with all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and the extra bits and pieces like salt & pepper.

Powered by a 2.5L six speed turbo diesel this 4WD is the deluxe expedition vehicle. With more space than the European Brown and an easier set up – it makes for a relaxing (but still adventurous) getaway, be it surfing the coast or exploring the North the Grizzly will take you there.
The Grizzly has a pop up roof, so you can access the bed with out getting out of the car. Now that’s like honey to a bear. It sleeps two people in a comfy double bed and has everything you need for your dream road trip – all you need to do is a pack a bag and jump in!

The European
The Bear
Built on a Land Rover Defender Td5 it’s the ultimate tourer with air conditioning in the drivers cabin – but bear in mind it is a Defender so the air con is not amazing! It’ll get roughly 12L/100KM on diesel fuel with a 5 speed manual transmission.
Sleeps: Two in a spacious roof top tent (±160cm x 200cm) with all bedding, towels and pillows supplied. Additional 3 man tents available for additional sleeping arrangements (including, sleeping bags & mats).
Seats: Two to five (depending on layout). Child anchor points available on request – get in early if that is what you are after.
Exploring: Satellite Navigation Included & Satellite Phones available for hire.
Living: Side awning, table & chairs, 12 volt dual battery system with charging points.
Kitchen: Two burner stove & 47L fridge and a deluxe kitchen box with all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and the extra bits and pieces like salt & pepper.

The original Bear Rental – The European is designed to give you and easy and stress free adventure, perfect for touring the coast, but will handle the dirt just as well! Kitted out for two with a roof top tent (but don’t worry we can arrange additional camping gear for the extra passengers if your group is larger than 2).
This turbo diesel is built tough – it’s great for the dream Australian road trip. With this simple set up you will have camp ready with a chilled drink (straight from the fridge) in your hand in less than 5 minutes!

Got the vehicle but not the gear? Our camper trailers have everything that you need to hit the road for a great glamping getaway! In true Bear Rentals style all the camper trailers that we hire out are simple to use and can be set up and packed up single handedly.
Safety: Fire Extinguisher/First Aid Kit
Sleeps: Sleeps 2 in a double inner spring pillow top mattress. The tent is a fold out hard floor set up that can be done by a single person.
Living: 12 volt light system, all bedding and towels as well as an 80L fresh water tank with electric pump. An additional awning can be set up to provide a covered outdoor area.
Eating: Two burner stove and sink. 47L fridge. 9KG gas bottle and a deluxe cutler, crockery, pots, pans and utensils kit.
Pricing:
- $85 to $130 Per Calendar day for 1 – 7 days with a minimum hire of 3 days)
- 10% off entire booking for 8 – 21 days
